Job Description

Your Mission

The Data & Compliance Manager is responsible for leading a team to ensure that Busy Bees Education & Training operates in full compliance with current regulatory, compliance, and funding body requirements/guidelines, including the Financial Handbook for Independent Training Providers.  The Data & Compliance Manager will oversee the accuracy and security of learner and employer data, manage funding returns, and be the apprenticeship system product owner. 

You will oversee the accuracy and security of student data, manage funding returns, support compliance with external audit requirements and ensure staff across the organisation have timely access to reliable information. 

Your Responsibilities

People:

  • Act as a source of advice across departments and stakeholders for data returns, funding updates, and regulatory updates. 
  • Ensure regular training for staff to understand compliance requirements, including resources, materials, and presentations. 
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on compliance status and issues. 
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and funding agencies. 
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure cohesive compliance efforts. 
  • Lead with external audits such as DFE and Ofsted.  

Quality:

  • Stay updated with changes in regulations and funding rules and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.

  • Text Box: Job DescriptionRegularly review and update policies to reflect current regulations and best practices. 
  • Conduct and lead regular internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance, areas of risk, and areas of good practice, and provide action plans and detailed reports to the Senior Leadership Team. 
  • Monitor compliance with funding rules, inspection standards, and financial regulations. 
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and audits. 
  • Ensuring timely and accurate ILR submission following all submitted monthly activity. 

Work closely with the Head of Quality to report the Accountability Framework drivers including QAR.
