Whether it be bringing in a new member to your team, or supporting an employee to climb the career ladder, we can support your business.
Busy Bees Education and Training have been educating and supporting employers since 2003, offering a wide range of qualifications from management and business administration to early years education and residential care. Our vast experience enables us to support your business in all areas of your employee's career development – including recruitment of the very best candidates right through to their qualification completion.
Whether you are a levy paying or a non-levy company we have the expertise to support you through the journey of apprenticeships. We can support you to identify skills gaps and ensure that the apprenticeships that you choose for your staff team will make the most impact.
Making Recruitment Easy
If you are currently looking for an apprentice, we can help fill your vacancy FREE of charge, giving you peace of mind that you can focus on your business. You’d be supported by a dedicated member of our apprenticeship recruitment team, who would discuss your vacancy requirements and advertise the position.
Applications would be dealt with directly by your appointed recruitment contact who would screen the applications, conduct brief telephone consultations, shortlist applicants for you to look through and make indications on, then arrange interviews with those candidates on your behalf (at times and dates suitable for you).
Following interviews, we would take your feedback on those candidates and then notify each one of the outcomes. The successful candidate would also be notified and we would then arrange a start date for their qualification and for work to commence.
Our Apprenticeship Service
Development Coaches are allocated to each learner and their role is to teach, observe, advise and guide them through their qualification making sure they get the support they need to complete the course successfully.
To support the delivery of the programmes there are some expectations required by you to ensure the success and completion for each staff member. You will be required to:
• To support the Development Coach in accessing your learner
• Provide regular feedback on progress
• Facilitate off the job learning
Your staff member will experience real tasks and responsibilities in relation to their apprenticeship programme and job role. This will allow them to grow their knowledge in the industry and contribute to overall business goals and objectives, while still learning new skills.
In some cases, an apprentice will be a beginner and the apprenticeship can be their first time in a real working environment. Therefore, our Development Coaches will ensure that the apprentice is supported correctly and delegated tasks to the level they are working at.
Smart Assessor and Off-the-Job Hours
We have an online ePortfolio called Smart Assessor which the learner, yourself and the Development Coach can record time taken to complete the above just input their learning activity and simply select that it was completed off-the-job.
Within Smart Assessor you will be able to view and track your learner’s progression throughout the apprenticeship journey for frameworks and qualifications. Smart Assessor e-portfolio is also used to track the progression of knowledge, skills and behaviours, managing 20% off-the-job training, monitoring gateway assessments.
The portfolio will be accessed by the apprentices and you as an employer but also by the Development Coaches, mentors, trainers, quality assurers and managers.
Everything we do is managed through this system, which cuts out the need for much of the paperwork used and includes key features such as:
• electronic forms, and digital signatures,
• smart web conference rooms,
• digital evidence library,
• online resources
Part of the ESFA's apprenticeships funding rules, all apprenticeships must contain 20% Off-the-Job training.
CPD and First Aid
Your staff’s learning journey can be further enhanced by accessing our suite of CPD courses which can be carried out on a variety of platforms including face-to-face, our e-learning platform as well as blended learning.
Our learning and development and first aid teams have a wealth of background knowledge, qualifications, experience and skills and are a passionate and committed team whose vision is to deliver rich learning experiences that aim to inspire our learners to be the best they can be.
Our courses have been designed to provide the staff with additional skills and knowledge to further both their career development and sector knowledge.
