This course raises awareness of safeguarding adults and the key responsibilities of individuals that work with vulnerable adults, or their families.

This course will support you in identifying the signs and symptoms of abuse and who to report your concerns to. You will be able to explore the legislation that supports everything you do to keep adults safe in your work place environment.

  • Understand The term safeguarding and its meaning
  • Explore the key legislation surrounding safeguarding and the legal responsibilities of those that work with vulnerable adults and/or their families
  • How to identify signs of abuse, recognise the way to reduce the chance of abuse.
  • Understanding what your responsibilities are in reaction to suspected abuse, and the way you can assist to protect people from harm and abuse.
  • How to respond to any concerns that you have about a vulnerable adult or if information is disclosed to you by a vulnerable adult
  • How to report and record any concerns and the importance of reporting concerns
