‘Understanding Autism’ explores all aspects of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Disorder (ASD). Find out about the challenges faced by autistic individuals, including social interactions, processing information, communicating, and repetitive and obsessive behaviours. Learn about what is meant by the ‘spectrum’, how the ‘Triad of Impairment’ helps us understand a diagnosis, and which UK laws protect autistic individuals.

Through this course, you will build a toolkit of methods and adaptations to help every child with autism flourish in your setting.
