Communication and Language within Bee Curious

Children are born communicators and during their early years they develop a range of methods to share their feelings, thoughts, wants and needs. This Communication and Language masterclass will demonstrate how communication and language is threaded throughout the whole of the Bee Curious Curriculum and how communication is a key principle within each Area of Discovery. 

The Communication and Language masterclass focusses on the progression of communication and language, and how using Bee Curious will empower children to achieve their potential when communicating with others.

In this masterclass, we will look at how to:

• Identify the progression stages of language development in early years
• Link communication and language to the Bee Curious Teaching Principles
• Understand the key elements of the Communication and Language curriculum
• Explore receptive and expressive language for all stages of development in the early years
• Support communication and language development for children with SEND and EAL
