Each year more than 100,000 people in the UK are at imminent risk of being seriously injured as a result of domestic abuse. Abusive behaviour can occur in any relationship and can even continue after a relationship has ended and can affect anyone, no matter what age, race, gender or sexuality.
Where children and young adults are affected by this behaviour it can pose significant and long term harm to their overall wellbeing and sits under the “umbrella” of Safeguarding due to the varying types of abuse a child may experience in this situation. As such it is important to undergo this course alongside of our introduction to safeguarding course.
This course is ideal for anyone who has undergone the induction to safeguarding course and is looking for more in depth knowledge and understanding of domestic violence which is one of the most common but hidden forms of abuse.
