This introductory course will support staff to understand their role in preventing children and adults from being drawn into radicalisation.
As Early Years Providers we have a legal duty to Prevent people (children & adults) who we have contact with from becoming radicalised by being alert to anything concerning in a child’s life at a setting, home or elsewhere.
The Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 contains a duty on specified authorities to have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
The prevent duty guidance states that children in the early years age range and in early years settings are considered to be "the most vulnerable and impressionable members of society".
