Job Description

Your Mission

This is a summary of your job with us but as part of our team we expect that you will undertake other reasonable duties to ensure that our Training Company is always the best it can be in line with our Core Values.

As Development Coach you will support our vision to deliver innovative teaching and learning and help our learners achieve their apprenticeships. 
You will have at least monthly contact with individuals in their workplace and on-line using your vocational experience and knowledge to teach and support learners achieve their apprenticeship.
You will manage your own diary to ensure you are delivering against your KPIs, arranging and attending scheduled visits in person and on-line and completing both company and personal administration. 
You will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver an exceptional service to learners and clients whilst maintaining standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Outcomes

All learners on caseload can be evidenced ‘in learning’ on OneFile with SMART targets, stretched and challenged progression
Manage your own caseload ensuring timely completion, reducing end dates being extended and forecasting capacities
Develop and maintain Stakeholder relationships supporting business growth, communications and workforce planning
Utilise systems to track individual learners performance and data supporting individual performance and succession data
Support all learners who have enhancement funding ensuring evidence of validity 
Ensure all learner reviews are completed and signed by all parties (learner, assessor & employer) and reflect the whole programme every 12 weeks.
All new learners in your area are inducted and start learning within 4 weeks of allocation
All learners requiring Core Skills complete these within the adequate timescales
All learners in your area are serviced giving the best economies of scale/utilisation of staff and return on investment
Work as part of a multi-dynamic team, utilising other department qualities, information and data supporting annual self-assessment, quality improvement plan for          Scotland provision, FIPS management and paperwork relating to learners apprenticeships
All learners are compliant within current SDS, Awarding Body & Modern Apprenticeship guidelines. 

What you will bring to the role

A1 & A2 (Or equivalent) Preferred not essential
SVQ 3 (SCQF Level 7) in vocational area
Current and relevant vocational experience
Experience of your vocational area of expertise (e.g. Early Years)
Previous experience of funded provision and compliance in the Apprenticeships sector (SDS) Preferred not essential
Experience of working in high demand environments, to targets and tight deadlines
A suitable leadership and behaviour style, supporting Key outcomes
Experience and current knowledge of Scotland MA Frameworks and provision Preferred not essential
