Your Mission
To line manager Development Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors to support them in delivering innovative teaching and learning to enable all learners to complete their chosen programme and support the Head of Operations with the leadership of the operations team. Key Outcomes
As a Regional Manager, you are key to the success of our business. This role is about getting the best out of your team, growing and nurturing their talent and helping them deliver the best service to our clients, driving business growth and excellence. You will deliver the strategy that delivers profitable growth and operation of the sector in line with our Mission, Vision, and Values. You will lead and manage a team of field-based Development Coaches and Functional Skill Tutors to deliver their targets and provide a high-quality experience to our learners. You will manage and develop your team to bring out the best in everyone, grow talent and maintain and promote a high performing culture. This will be achieved by: • All learners on caseload in your Regional Team can be evidenced 'in learning' on OneFile with SMART targets and stretched and challenged progression • Manage caseloads of Development Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors, ensuring timely completion/Gateway entry, reducing OOF learners and forecasting capacities • Develop and maintain Stakeholder relationships supporting business growth, communications, workforce planning and strategic management • Utilise systems to track individual learners performance and data supporting individual Regional Team members performance and succession data • Lead and manager Regional Team to deliver and support learners who claim, 'Learner Support Funding,’ ensuring evidence of valid support for monthly ILR claims • All learners on caseload in your Regional Team have at least 20% off the job training evidenced in month • Formal reviews for the learners in your Regional Team are completed and signed by all parties (Learner, Development Coach & Employer) and reflect the whole programme every 8 weeks. • All new learners in your Regional Team are inducted and start learning within 4 weeks of allocation • All learners in your Regional Team requiring Functional Skills pass within the first six months (additional time is granted for learners who require reasonable adjustments) • All learners in your Regional Team are serviced, giving the best economies of scale/utilisation of staff and return on investment • Work as part of a multi-dynamic team, utilising other department qualities, information and data • All learners are compliant within current ESFA funding guidance Qualifications • Drivers Licence (E) • Current and relevant vocational experience (E) • Level 3 qualifications or above as recognised by Ofsted (E) • Level 3 certificate in assessing vocational achievement (E) • Level 3 Education and Training or equivalent (D) • GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or equivalent (E) • Level 5 Management (or equivalent) qualification (or willing to work towards) (E) Degree (D) Experience • Experience of leading a field-based team to succeed within a target driven environment. • Experience delivering business strategy and operating at mid management level. • Previous experience of line management and/or mentoring a small to medium team. • Previous experience of funded provision and compliance in the apprenticeships sector (ESFA) • Previous experience of ensuring quality for learners (Ofsted). • A suitable leadership and behaviour style supporting Key outcomes • Previous experience leading and supporting key business projects • Experience in working towards, meeting and exceeding personal and business KPI’s
Knowledge • A solid understanding funding requirements • Excellent knowledge of the sector • Current knowledge of apprenticeships standards • Understanding of End Point Assessment
