Apprenticeship Summary

Early Years Practitioner (level 2) Apprenticeship.

Do you want to become a qualified Early Years Practitioner? Are you serious about a career in the Early Years sector? This role is ideal for anyone who wants an introduction to the Early Year Sector and progress onto the Early Years Educator Standard.

Key responsibilities and expectations as an apprentice:

• Support in planning activities for the children in your care in line with the EYFS

• Support children's learning through planned purposeful play

• Support observations and assessment of each child

• Assist with the care needs of the individual children

• Recognise when a child is in danger or risk and reporting their concerns to the relevant person

• Contributing to the health and safety of children

• Team player

• Commitment to completing the apprenticeship within given time frame.

As an Apprentice you will be working alongside inspiring qualified staff who will support and mentor you whilst completing your apprenticeship. You will attend bespoke Learning and Development courses where you will be provided with underpinning knowledge, skills and behaviours to support you in your everyday practice. A Development Coach will visit you regularly in your nursery and provide recognition of your progress and vital guidance to support you in the next part of your apprenticeship.

Qualifications / Experience

• Able to work to and achieve level 1 Functional Skills

• Clear DBS.

Early Years Educator level 2, Room Manager, Manager. 

Duration - 13 months plus End Point Assessment.
