An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bright Swans Nursery in Moseley for an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprentice to join our dedicated team.
Do you want to play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe?
If you have a real passion for childcare & are interested in earning while you learn, we would like to hear from you.
If you hold a Level 2 or have worked as a volunteer and are looking to gain your Level 3 you will gain a wealth of experience within our experienced dedicated team.
Main duties: EXAMPLE
1. To work as part of our childcare team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and support the development of children in our care.
2. To plan, organise and carry out planned activities and experiences for children.
3. To settle in new children and provide on-going support, under a key worker system, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications.
4. To maintain children??s records and carry out assessments.
5. To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy setting
6. To keep abreast of current issues and attend training as necessary.
7. Contribute to and participate in team meetings/team activities, outside of working hours if necessary.
8. Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the setting.
9. To respect confidentiality within the setting.
10. To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and efficient manner.
11. To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager / Deputy, in accordance with the settings practices, policies and procedures.
Early Years Educator
Advanced level 3
An apprenticeship is a job with training which enables you to earn while you learn.
The apprentice standard consists of core knowledge, skills and behaviours relevant to the job role.
It is delivered in partnership with the employer via a blended approach and the apprentice will spend 20% of their time in off the job training during paid working hours.
Prior to completion, the apprentice will undertake an End Point Assessment (EPA). This consists of a portfolio of evidence, a professional discussion and a knowledge test, a pass or distinction is achievable.
Functional Skills, maths and English, are an integral to completion of the apprenticeship. The apprentice will achieve these qualifications as part of the apprenticeships, if not previously gained.
Along with the apprenticeship standard, the apprentice will also achieve a
Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People's Workforce (Early Years Educator) (RQF)
