Duration: 18 months
SVQ Qualification

This apprenticeship is suitable for individuals, who are currently employed, in a nursery and who want to obtain a formal qualification. Learners should be in a job or placement where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities, which allow them to gather the required evidence.

Course details

This apprenticeship consists of 4 Mandatory Units and 4 Optional Units.

Core/mandatory Units:

  • Promote effective communication
  • Promote health, safety and security in your setting
  • Develop your practice through reflection and learning
  • Promote the safeguarding of children and young people
  • Examples of Optional Units:

  • Plan and organise environments for children and families
  • Promote the health and physical development of children
  • Promote the care of babies and children
  • Implement frameworks for early education through the development of curriculum planning

    Entry Requirements

    To be suitable for an Intermediate Apprenticeship with Busy Bees Education and Training, you will need:

    • To be willing and able to access a Busy Bees training centre on occasions throughout your course to aid your learning
    • To be able to gain a satisfactory PVG
