Terri-Anne joins the team

11/01/2021

Kicking off 2021, we welcome a new recruit to the marketing team. Terri-Anne joins as our Digital Marketing Apprentice and we're thrilled to have her onboard.

Whilst searching for the perfect individual we were fortunate enough to have some wonderful candidates, making the decison on who to employ really tough, however, Terri-Anne's interview and presentation really impressed us - she not only showed a great understanding of what would be required and expected for the position, but a hunger and passion to develop herself and start her marketing career.

We are looking forward to her getting settled in and up to speed, but in the meantime here's a little bit more from our new recruit...

Hello, my name is Terri-Anne and I am so excited to be joining the Busy Bee's team as the new Digital Marketing Apprentice.

Up until recently, my career has been in events-based marketing, I've worked for multiple agencies representing large brands, charities and also in-house as an events assistant for a local radio station.

Although working on or at events was my bread and butter, I had a passion for writing great content and began building on my digital marketing skills alongside my events work, taking up a voluntary position as a Marketing Assistant at a community radio station in 2017, writing/creating content for social media and creating stationwide campaigns.

Whilst my digital marketing skills were bubbling away, COVID-19 hit, events were paused indefinitely, and I suddenly had a lot more free time to learn about Digital Marketing. This with a bit of a Bake-Off obsession combined made Lowkey Hangry, a foodie Instagram and blog that attracted the likes of Birmingham Updates, BBC Good Food, Visit Britain and probably lots more!

Working on the blog with my partner during the first lockdown furthered my passion for Marketing and Social Media. So I took it upon myself to complete courses in Digital Marketing and Search Engine Optimisation, putting them to practice using the blog. I wasn't about to let the skills I had developed go to waste, so I decided to apply for the role of Digital Marketing Apprentice here at Busy Bees, which I feel is the best way to put all the skills I've learnt to practice, and to learn some new things too.

I'm so excited to get stuck in and work with the Busy Bees team!
